Andaman Sea

The Andaman Sea (Burma or Burmese Sea – Maya Pin Lae) is a sea in the southeast of the Bay of Bengal. part of the Indian Ocean North of the sea borders the mouth of the Irrawaddy River in Burma. To the east is the peninsula of Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia. To the west are the Andaman Islands. and the Nicobar Islands under the rule of India to the south by the island of Sumatra of indonesia and the Straits of Malacca. คาเฟ่ปากบารา

The deepest point is the channel between the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. with a depth of 4,198 meters or more than 4 kilometers


Information from the Department of Mineral Resources website states that the Andaman Sea is a tectonic basin that extends from the Irrawaddy River Delta in Myanmar. It spreads about 1,200 kilometers south to northern Sumatra and the Straits of Malacca.


The width of the sea from the west coast of the Thai Peninsula to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is approximately 650 kilometers.


The islands are part of the underwater ridge that separates the Andaman Basin from the Bay of Bengal.


Geography of the important country in the Andaman Sea is the continental slope off the coast of the Thai-Malaysian Peninsula. The continental slope slopes to the west until it joins the Basin at a depth of approximately 2435 meters. คาเฟ่ปากบารา The Basin also slopes to the west as well. where the slope will gradually Decrease until reaching a depth of about 2670 meters, then a steep basin at a depth of about 3,035 meters, which should be the basin of the Central Andaman Sea.
